  • i got no idea what was going on when all of you guys were compressed and it seems like the textures are changing... i mean that looks good! but what was going on? (the wave thing is obvious but)

  • It was just various body visuals that each line was doing. My memory of it is a bit weak, but I think we were almost like punching in various directions.

  • What year was this recorded? One of my friends is in colorguard, so I'm guessing she's there...

  • this was recorded fall of 2005

  • very cool our concert band played all of those songs one year its cooler to see it being marched, was that second suite in F?

  • yup.. the little solos were from the 1st, 2nd and 4th movement of second suite in F. and the drum feature was the 3rd. the opener is the march from moorside suite. and the closer is jupiter from the planets suite.

  • So proud to say I was part of this

  • Everyone was punching either left, right or up.

  • Wow, I feel bad for the band that goes after you on Saturday at Towson.

    Ohhh wait, that's us.

  • Well it was raining all day so they moved the competition to the parking lot where the host school's band practices. It was on about a 15 degree tilt and a monsoon kicked up about twenty seconds into the show, knocked a sousaphone or two down. I thought we did well just to get an excellent based on the conditions. The sun shone for the next two bands who, who got superiors. I'm not defending our show, cause it sucked, but I think we performed in unfair conditions based on what the others had

  • Actually, Corky Fabrizzio arranged this for us and he's in the DCI Hall of Fame. Can't get much better than that.

  • we did something similar to what you guys did. i'm not trying to brag about our capes but we used that more than hand movements.

  • Hands down the best show of my 4 years there! Best flagwork too, although the rain was a pain in the ass!
