Dear Mr Townsend, other things that go very well with pumpkin are Brown sugar, Light Molasses and a real New England favorite, Maple Syrup. Honey might work too. It all depends on what you have around the house, or rations.
@tomcat061973, I was thinking the same thing when he tossed the seeds aside! NOOOO! They do make a tasty snack if you salt them a bit after rinsing them off and then roast them in a skillet over the coals. Can't go wrong with that!
