Wow! I always knew how wonderful she is as an entertainer, but I never realized how accomplished she is as a philanthropist and activist. How deeply she cares for her state and for the education of children. What a woman!

@fluffythecat2 As a teacher, I saw how reading at home somehow means twice as much as reading in school.

This is great! If more people had Dolly's approach to life, this would be a much better world. Her interview with Charlie Rose a week or so ago was terrific!!

she may not be learned but surely she is mush more educated than most people on the planet...
once again, Dr. Dolly Parton proved that u don't have to be a graduate of Harvard to be able to understand the basic and immediate needs of the people around you..it only take a genuine compassion and generous heart to do so..
God bless Dolly...may your kind multiply..exponentially, i wish...
