Winston Churchill's famous "Finest Hour" speech of June 1940 was a rallying cry to the people of Britain to prepare themselves for the dark days of World War II. In this podcast, the military historian, Max Arthur, meets Allen Packwood, the Director of the Churchill Archives Centre at Churchill College, University of Cambridge to find out about some of the secrets of that memorable speech.

  • I have put in a video besides this and I want a comment from you according to my video. I think it is very important to get the real speech from the real occasion because I mean that the speecher's accentuation, and so on, is very important to understand his value as a speaker. I think also that your org. will be the best to give an good answer. You may excuse my problems to express my thoughts in english. Per-Olof
