Sooo precious!
thanks for Posting! they are very young little sweeties! ...making quick forays away then return to momma.
I'm curious about the gray very flat and loose area between the grass and the edging. It appeared to have been carefully raked or prepared for something 'cause each little hoof print showed : ) Did you have to redo it? : ) Probably yet it was well worth it to have this wonderfull family visit : )

moose are adorable :) idk why people kill them.. there basically harmless unless u provoke them.. :( there like an clunky oversized cow lol
Truely a beautiful scene. Is this in your yard? What an honour to witness such a magnificent family in a natural setting.

Yes, my back yard. I was standing very still on an elevated deck filming it. It was a remarkable opportunity for me too.

Note how much aggression is in this "play." All the elements of practice battle are present in this few week old male (I assume) calf -- head butting, kicking with hind legs, swatting with front hooves. The other calf seems to enjoy the play, but is also intimidated by it at times. Also note at second #24 there is an audible communication from the mother which seems to bring the calves running to her.

This is great footage, thanks so much for posting this! I've never seen a moose and they are just fascinating to watch! Would Mom have charged you if you approached them?

Thank you for your kind comments.
Yes, it would have been very dangerous indeed to have approached them. Cows kill a number of people each year when they think their calves are in danger.
