  • @criisduva Look at any country which recieved the judeo-christian worldview and applied it. You'll get the likes of Nazi germany, or the entirety of dark age europe. The progress made in countries like South Korea, Norway or the USA exist DESPITE christian influence, not because of it.

These roman people had gods, you're just too ignorant to see it. The origins of Yaweh are not so different.

  • @criisduva south korea and norway are pretty much atheist.

The more religious countries always seem to be fighting.

Middle east, russia, catholic germany in WWII, usa, britain in the days of empire...

If you ask me, no god=less chaos because there is less to fight over.

  • hehe, you are funny pcmsia.. the roman empire was fine? so much slavery, child abuse, sexual immorality and military power to keep it all in check.. I am not sure you would write such nonsense if you had to live in those times. what at joke.

look at any country which received the judeo-christian worldview and applied it, and you will get the likes of south korea, norway, usa and so on. sure, there are problems everywhere - because there are people everywhere. and reddletter: no God=chaos. think!

  • Actually the Roman Empire was fine until Christianity became a political force during the reign of Constantine. Rome became great while they were under their original Gods, they fell when they adopted a foreign Middle Eastern one. The Romans/Italians only recovered during the Renaissance, during which Christianity was once again challange intellectually.

Compare this to the experience of the Arabs, who were basically nobodies prior to Islam but became a mightly empire during the Islamic period.

  • Balanced Psychology, Ethics, and Spirituality are Supremely Important - but the First and Last Commandment Should be 'Thou Shalt Have No Gods'. Reverence Life - and Reverence the Divinity Within Humanity. Self Exaltation should be replaced with the Exaltation of the Entire Human Race. Politician and Preacher need to stop asking 'How Shall We Then Fib?' They need to start telling us the truth about Everything. Namaste.
