@MormonFacts1 Yes, we believe that we can become "gods" and that our Heavenly Father is "a god." But He is the Most High God under whom all other gods are forever subject to. We will never be as great as He. I'm not sure what your point is here.
@MormonFacts1 Also, we do not believe that God had sex with Mary. If in modern technology two people can have a child without having sexual intercourse (yes it is possible), surely God can do somewhat of the same thing. Again, Sandra Tanner is an idiot.
@MormonFacts1 And furthermore, NOBODY could EVER become "at the same level of deity that Jesus is right now." That is absurd and any Latter-day Saint will deny that. Like Heavenly Father, Christ will always remain infinitely above us. We will never become greater than, or even as great as, He is.
@MormonFacts1 Redeemer, the Messiah, the Great I AM, and the Holy One to whom every knee shall bend and every tongue shall confess is the Christ.
Sandra Tanner is NOT an expert on the doctrines of the Church, and everything she says can be said in such simpler terms, it's not even funny. She's an idiot.
@MormonFacts1 but also so much more than that. The Savior could not have been "one of millions of sons of Heavenly Father." Jesus was chosen for that very purpose. It was the Father's plan from the start, and none of His other children were ever considered to be the Savior. He picked Jesus not because "Jesus was the oldest brother" but because He was the greatest. It could NOT have been anyone else. He is also different from us in the sense that He is God and is our Savior, our King, our
@MormonFacts1 not He was God during and before this mortal experience is unclear. The Doctrine and Covenants (I can't remember where) tells us, however, that one can be eternal and still pass through physical changes. God the Father passed through physical changes, just as Jesus did and as we must. Furthermore, Jesus is not "just one of" God's children. He was the firstborn and the greatest of all of them, and He was foreordained to be the Savior from the very beginning. He is our Elder Brother
@MormonFacts1 We do not believe that Christ "progressed" to become "a god." Christ is God and has been with God for eternity, as have all of us. Christ was foreordained before He was created to be the Savior, and because He is perfectly united with the Father (in every way except substance or being), He is God. He calls Himself God in the scriptures several times. As for Heavenly Father being a human on another world, we do believe that He, at one point, passed through mortality, but whether or
@CWMaua12 Also, just so you know, if you knew the translation of Hebrew you would know that "Elohim" isn't a proper noun, so it isn't the name of the father. Elohim is literally just the word God. It's just a title and nothing more. And Jesus was said in the bible that he had no beginning and no end, so how is it he was created by a God and a goddess. Jesus also says he is God, the father is God, and the holy spirit is God. That's what explains the holy trinity. they are all ONE God!!
@CWMaua12 You have no idea who I am, and yet you tell me I need repentance. Although I am not Mormon, I do live by their standards, like the word of wisdom, chastity, and I try to do as many works as I can. Not because I believe I need them to get into heaven, but because I want to follow Jesus. I have been baptized by the holy spirit, not by baptism like you think, but I have a burning desire to do mt best and follow Jesus. How can you judge me if only God knows who I am?

I'm LDS and I have studied the Church, its doctrines, and its history for many years. She is way off.
