On behalf of TipTop/DTN & Crys/R2R, we will like to thank everyone who came out to support us at the "Dipset in Bklyn" event on Friday.
We apologize to those who were not aware of the change of venue from Evolution Nite Club to Oceana Hall, which was a result of a phone call being made to the local precinct and building owner of Evolution by allegedly Mateo (promoter of NYC Dipset Reunion), hoping it will force us to cancel. Last clearing up ALL rumors in regards to us doing false promo that members of the Dipset camp will be present yet they did not see them and certain members stating they were not paid.
Please be advised, everyone with the exception of Camron who received partial payment in advance, received their entire amount that was owed upon arrival. We came to later learn why Camron did not appear, which we understand. However, those who were present during the money transaction, witnessed a representative from Juelz camp receive the balance owed of $2500. A 1/2 hour later Zekey came inside to collect his only payment of $500, Jim Jones remaining balance of $2500 and then left out w/o returning either did Jim Jones or Juelz enter the club.
Those who have supported us at our past events are aware in no way do we false advertise or mislead you in any way. If this was a case of false advertisement do you really think a few DJs from Hot 97 would announce the event repeatedly over the airwaves? Or DJs mentioning Juelz had arrived in addition to telling people to clear the VIP area & stage for the artists if in fact they were not PAID IN FULL?
This plot for whatever reason was done by the individuals involved affected you our loyal & faithful supporters; Dipset fans that traveled locally n out of state; & the disrespect they showed us as natives of Brooklyn who supported and richly embraced the Harlem natives into our home town by coming to collect their money at the venue & pulling a disappearing act w/o as much as hosting, performing or at least greeting us.
Again we sincerely apologize, hope this cleared up all misunderstandings & it has not spoiled our relationship with you our supporters.
