This is a Casio A140 projector. I focused all 24 of the diodes, each running at around 1600mW, to a single point. This is just a little sample of what it will do.
In no particular order...
CD case, both the black and clear sides.
White paper
A clear blue floppy
A rubber fishing worm
A VHS case
A soda can
Some cardboard
A plastic bag
Magnesium shavings
A clear yellow screwdriver
A black screwdriver extension handle
This is in a garage under an open window, the sun is still up and you can almost make the beams out without smoke. With smoke they are 100% visible, and this is practically 100% daylight.

@nrz666 The description states "This is a Casio A140 projector. I focused all 24 of the diodes, each running at around 1600mW, to a single point. This is just a little sample of what it will do.". So yes, 1.6W!

@nrz666 i just got 5 of them for 100 bucks free shipping not long ago, attempting to mod one for use with a led light source.

@KeithWasHere1 Not waste, perhaps it's one of its best uses. Paying the price of 3 arctics (actually a bit more, adding hosts and drivers price) you can make 24 of them. Btw, other projector parts can be useful too.
