Litter killing a seagull. Disturbing images filmed on 24th April 2010 during the breeding season at Battery Gardens, Brixham, Devon in the UK. Seagulls can live up to 40 years of age and mate for life. Litter costs council tax payers in excess of £780 million a year.

  • @cvfa and yes - why didn't someone ( the person holding the camera ) step in and stop this from happening or did they stupidly believe they were letting nature take it's course ? The photographer didn't and should not have let this continue as it did. Tragic :(

  • Why didn't the photographer stop this from happening, instead of sitting idly by? Point taken, but was there any need to film this the whole way through? C'mon man! Help a bird out from our negligence!

  • @madmosse bc its fucken cool as hell watching a seagull eat a plastic bag

  • @cvfa EXACTLY! hella people dont see that what we do to hurt wildlife will eventually hurt us, too. and no I'm not talking about karma (though that could also be a possibility, seeing as our world seems to be going to shit) but that the plastic that gets in the oceans breaks down and is eaten by fish that humans then ingest, or else it just kills them, and affects all other species that benefit from it.

  • @darktigerx HAHAHA MANNN YOU ARE SO FUNNY.

    BAZINGA! (AKA NOT.)

  • @Machinilulz you're an idiot. it's not just affecting seagulls its affecting a huge variety of marine life, and will ultimately affect us too.

  • @dunannick wowww, really? you're an ignorant fuck. i'd rather the seagull live then pieces of shit like you with that mentality. i would try spending more time elaborating that but i would be wasting my time.

  • @madmosse a human eating a bag, could see someone doing something about that.

But an animal that WILL fly away when approached, (I lived by the sea side for 13 years, I know seaguls chap) the best thing he could have done is what he did, film it, to get it out there and educate, I bet you alot more people will think about their rubbish after seeing this video, than they would have had they not seen it, the camera man did the best job he could.

  • @clark144 maybe, but you don't know that. the only way to know that is to try and prevent it. if we all resign to what we think is gonna happen, our world is gonna suck. it kinda already does because of that mentality. i say try, even though it may not work every time.

  • @madmosse it would have flown off bag in beak

  • how would u like it if that u about to die from someones plastic bag

  • what i want to know is who chose the fucking music to go along with this.
