  • This song ruled my childhood! Dr Awesome rules!

    Now where is Bridge 2?

  • I remember this one from Pinball Fantasies basic screen, but was unable to find it among the Pinbal Fantasies Themes published here on Youtube. I´m glad to find it back here! :) What a shame ir´s so strictly left/right channel made, no fun listening to it with headphones :-/

  • Our house phone plays a short version of the main melody, didn't hack it or anything it actually came on the phone

  • the best of the best

  • When I was going to secondary school and 386DX was a hi-end. I loved this tune. And now I have revealed this -- after 20 years :-)

  • My Telstra Home Phone shipped with this as the default ring-tone... I almost fell of my chair the first time someone called me.

  • @kusarininja Exactly, and by the way - what would Dr. Awesome be doing in Digital Illusions when DI already had Blaizer as musican... Dr. Awesome did some great stuff in Team 17 though... Never the less, a true legend indeed.

  • Forget that stupid Iphone app. Apps suck! Dr. Awesome RuleS!!!!!

  • This one and CAN't.s3M ware and still epic.

  • @cairsahr

The Sony SPC700 sound chip in the SNES produced some really amazing music too. Especially in Axelay, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4 - Turtles In Time, Doneky Kong Country 2, Zelda 3, CastleVania series, Gradius, Super Contra 3 and many more, even though I the AMIGA was always the better machine in the sound department.

  • @cairsahr

Indeed this is a cool tune, though it pales to some other truly epic t AMIGA sound tracks like in Agony, Star Dust, Alien Breed series, Projext X and of course Chris Huelsbeck's amazing sound track on the Turrican Series!

  • In which AMIGA game was this mod tune used? It does not ring a bell. It could be from any Psygnosis games, Pinball Fantasies, Shadow of the Beast, etc...

  • @DJRevan Modplug Tracker (or OpenMPT nowadays) uses LAME to convert your MOD to MP3 no problem. Just stick lameenc.dll in your OpenMPT folder to allow conversion.

  • @dingo7055 :) I was more into "Hack 'n slash" :)

  • @HaquinusDeGothia On a BBS? :D LOL... Did you play LORD also?

  • Wow. I'm old. I remember playing this in Screamtracker 3.

  • @Yeyro This was not in Pinball Fantasies hence not bening able to find it under that name. this is from Bjorn's earlier days on the Amiga Demo Scene

  • How could you convert the MOD file? I'd really like to upload 'Andante' but no program can handle MOD files but WinAmp...

  • The Super Nintendo had a great sound chip as well. But this tune makes the old original Amiga seem like a 32 or 64 bit machine. This is such a cool tune; the "coolness" factor is like 9 billion at the minimum, if I had to put an arbitrary number number on it.

  • Yes, memories and goose bumps. He squeezed lots of music out of that fantastic A500 machine. And now, many years later I listened to "Quiet Places" and "Beneath Another Sky", and I realize he has just become better and better over the years!

  • This certainly brings back memories of my teenage years, the era of BBSing (before the Internet) and of course various MOD software such as ScreamTracker 3 and various other DOS and Winblows 3.1-based MOD players!

  • i remember the mod! cool tune.

  • Wow.. this brings back memories of the better days. This mod was one of the first downloads I made with my brand new 9k6 modem way back in the early 90's, almost 20 years ago but I still remember getting goosebumps when I first heard it. A brilliant tune.

  • great song, i love it
