1966 BATMAN TV MOVIE CUSTOM VILLAIN FIGURES MEGO RIDDLER CATWOMAN PENGUIN JOKER GORSHIN

Another short piece showing some of the 1966 BATMAN figures I have made. This time THE UNITED UNDERWORLD from the BATMAN feature film of 1966. It took me a few years to pull these figures together as i wanted as close lookalike heads as I could find as well as costumes too. I throughly enjoyed seeing this set complete and on display in my BATMAN cabinet and I hope you people enjoy them too. Thanks for watching.

I guess I could make figures from OZ but Mego did well enough in my opinion and I personally don't have enough interest in the movie to attempt any further characters. Thanks for the comment though

A 'Shrink' is what has come to be known in action figure customising circles as a head which is cast from an original head that was of a larger size. I have never done it myself but I understand an acetone or 'Hydrospanning' liquid is used. A head is dipped in it and left for a certain time and the chemical actually makes the head shrink or exapnd. The head is then take out and allowed to dry and then a cast made so perhaps a GI JOE sized head cecome Mego sized.

@postersandstuff it saddened me too,I had the privlidge of meeting Frank Gorshin in 1998,he was such a nice man,and he was my favorite villian on this show,I HATED it when they got John Astin to play the Riddler for 1 episode,there was no comparison of who is the BEST Riddler

These are spectacular! I loved the old Mego action figures, but yours are so much better, not only because you replicated the look of the tv series, but because the figures are proportionately correct! I never liked how the Megos were all 8 inches no matter who the character was - Robin was as tall as Batman, for example. Great job!

Did you ever think about a Batgirl figure? Yvonne Craig (sp?) would be awesome and maybe they have her face in the Star Trek toys (she was an alien girl, green, I think, who seemed to dance around a lot. At least that's how I remember her! LOL). Really nice stuff here, Modart!
