I enjoyed the performance. However, I don't understand how you could play the first gavotte as slow as the second... It is supposed to be a folk dance, lively and well paced. It was well played but I think that the interpretation was lacking a rather vivacious character. Kudos on the East Winners! I always felt that Joplin wanted this piece to be played sort of lazily. I think that your interpretation fit very well with the historical context of the time. Great job, keep up the good work!
