These guys were crazy for not releasing it. Why work all that time? At least put your last 1 or 2 weeks into presenting a workable, playable experience. I believe the dev team claimed that it took so long that the engine looked ugly and uncompetitive. That's insane given A: it's not a commercial game but was to be freeware, this is superb for any freeware software today let alone then, and B: it factually does look great! I miss starsiege online

Starsiege: 2845 has been a stand alone game since about 2005. Clancore, the dev team, also had the full backing of Vivendi games(Sierra). To answer your question though, this game still isn't released. The game you see in the video is 2845 in alpha(pre-beta) stage.

@xxGiMMLixx So is this a dead project or has it just been dormant/slow? I'd hate to see Starsiege, better than Mechwarrior if you ask me, to be dead now.

@MegaJohnny This project has been cancelled. Originally this was a independant side project which was a stand alone mod then it drew the right attention and was going to be the next installment in the franchise but, for whatever reason, all developement was halted and the only thing left for the public was the "alpha" demo. I haven't really kept tabs on the project as of late so further details might be available on wiki sites.

Thanks. This was filmed at about 4am in the morning on a private server because no other server was up. It started as a 1 on 1 match and then we decided to film some since there is a lack of footage promoting this out there.
