I think he's making it a little bit to simple. The increase in myocardial infarctions can have many different causes, except for exposure to chemicals. Maybe those communities are built in a way that you take your car wherever you want to go (=less exercise), maybe the food culture is more greasy, maybe people have less interest in doings sports, maybe the working conditions on local businesses are very stressful etc etc. .
Posted this at my client's Naturally Yours organic food blog. Thanks for the intro to Geomedicine. What are the tribal traditions on this aspect of health?
Google Latitude can track your place history (google.com/latitude/apps), but it's in beta, and for now only allows you to export a KML file of the last 500 locations it tracked you at, and it tracks you probably 50 - 100 times per day. I can basically see anywhere I used my Android phone over the past few days.
I believe the application was something custom-written for the purposes of this very research, but I'm sure there is or will be a comparable commercial offering that can spatially log your whereabouts at a given time interval.

Very interesting, it really is amazing how much data isn't being used to its potential.
