Kartavaya, a non government organization is very unique of its kind, run entirely by college students of Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad for no other such organization exists in India. Kartavaya was started in the year 1999 by a group of ISM student headed by an ISM alumnus Mr. Amresh Mishra, presently an IPS officer. The vision being to equip the slum children with educational skills and character they need to live empowered lives.
