On April 15 1971, Geert Popma and Borger Breeveld, students from the Dutch Film Academy Amsterdam, made a graduation project called "Jazz Me, Baby". In this short monochrome film about the history of jazz 6 pieces were played by the New Orleans Seven (NOS). These are the only moments of the New Orleans Seven on film.
A solo piece for pianoplayer Raymond Spruyt .

  • Where can I hear the "Beetle" 's recordings?

  • He's playing it in B flat, like "The Beetle" Henderson! Terrific performance and arrangement.

  • FANTASTIC individualistic rendition of this warhorse! This is more of what I would call a New Orleans-style version of this... I could never imagine exactly how such a thing would sound, but here it is!!!
