Singer : ANNA REYNOLDS
Song : The Field of the Death.

The disk is old and used
Once somebody will place a better
quality I will immediately point to it.

I place it because Anna Reynold , Mezzo Soprano has such a beautifull voice.

  • Aix, that's 'n hour from here :)

You worked with her - so you know her

so you can ask her where we can find more of her vibrations

Google gave me a warning for copyright reasons on this song

so It might dissapear (as they do) - the recprd is 1972

I don't mention the publisher - perhaps they lost some ' records' of what's theirs :):)

Patents stay property for 20 years - songs I don't know

  • @ankhaton I had the chance to work with her in Aix en <provence and to hear her in Covent Garden many years ago. I tried to find herut that's the lone tape I could find. She was (and I hope she still is) a great singer and a wonderful wompan

  • She might read this -

In general All artists ( like politiciens)

    Google

ther own name . . . often often

  • As much as I admire Baker, I think Reynolds is a far greater singer. And as you say, she has passion from the inside and a kind of sensuousness that Baker lacked.

She is very much alive and still teaching. Late 70s, I think.

  • Yes Baker - I remember long ago - When choosing between the two I noticed a difference

like Warm vs Cold - The cold was very good singing, almost theoretical good

but the warm Anna wa/ie really HOT and today they say: 'COOL'

    -

Ye It would be nice to hear more of here

    Is she alive ?

  • I think the combination of the music and the film is very atmospheric. I am a huge fan of Anna Reynolds. She is not well -known enough. Suffered really from being a British contemporary of Janet Baker, though she was much better known on the operatic stage than Baker. Goose bumps is fine in British English. There are some marvellous recordings of Anna singing Bach, Ravel, Schumann. I shall have to try to post them.

  • Not strange at all

    When She starts singing

This song always gave me 'goose bumps' !

Is that US slang or correct UK english

  • I know it's a bit wierd, but I find this video strangely fascinating. Beautiful singing - amazingly poised and musical. The performance is haunting.

  • Perhaps somebody comes

    with a better disk !

I did it because there is nothing of her on the web !
