So, it's one thing for your enemy to develop a counter for your new technology well after it has been introduced. It's another thing for them to develop a counter before it has been introduced, simply because your nation doesn't know how to keep a secret. In 1985, the USSR learned that the hard way after engineer Adolf Tolkachev sold out nearly every aircraft project they were planning to develop spanning up to about 2020. Just think, one guy set them back 35 years to the us.

Of course! They always do! But it would be at least 8-12 years afterward before they could come up with effective counters. We're talking about an elementary concept - the element of surprise - which has always been a basic dictum of battle/sports. Why waste billions of dollars, years of time, & potentially the lives of our people by giving them a head start, just to soothe personal curiosities. By the time they develop counters in 2037, we'll be working on something better.

1. Their job is to help defend the country, not to sooth the general public's curiosities.

2. If your enemy discovers what you're developing, then they can work on solutions to counter your new weapons systems before they're introduced. Thus, the government will have wasted billions of dollars in tax payer money before the project is even finished. It would be akin to a football team handing over their entire "secret" playbook to opposing teams months before the Super Bowl.

I am so exited for 2025. I can't wait to find out what all of that technology is and does? Why can't they tell us what it is now? In 2025 all of the USA enemies are going to know what that the technology exists, so what's so bad about them knowing that when its still being worked on?

and 2. because it doesn't go against established physics - on a side note, 3. its only expected that such a military establishment would go to such lenths to stay ahead and on top of any other force on the planet.

this is the reason why he mentions what he does near the end. It really makes you wonder how far from the truth this could be. In all honesty, i find more reasons to believe that this person is quite accurate on what he states.. there is no way that the united states military could not what reached such a sofisticated level of technology, especially because 1. the funding that they recieve is virtually unlimited, and 2.
