  • Where do buy your bullets?

  • @donthebodyguard Midway, Wdeners or I make them. I make mos of my bulletst...80% of what I use.

  • I bought a Lee powder scale when I first started loading since I needed a lot of stuff at once and thought I'd upgrade as money permitted and I became more proficient. I recently purchased a new RCBS 505 scale. I work in a lab and we have balances that are regularly calibrated and NIST traceable and measure out to the 5th place. My Lee scale is accurate to .05 grain always, usually near perfect. The RCBS is accurate to +/- .2 grains, huge difference and unacceptable. Should I send it to them?

  • @goldenoldie96 Yes! My 505 scale get's me to within 1/10 of a grain. Send it back. There are some super accurate scales out there. I know some match shooters who weigh everything, bullet, primer, case and charge to .0001gr... Seems silly sometimes but accuracy is the name of the game.

  • every time I take off my powder dropper it changes the charge so I check every time.

  • Yes, it won't last as long as a metallic cartridge but it'll load a few times. If you're loaded a 3" shell and it starts to split at the mouth, cut it to a 2 3/4" length and you will still get some loadings through it.

  • so can you recycle the plastic shot shell?

  • I have all t he equipment but I have very little experience loading shot shells.

  • haha, i typed the chemical formula in @ pubchem & it came up w/ no search results.... in a world where 7.62x39mm & .308 winchester ammunition=$currency$; you're bill gates. say, you ever reloaded like 12ga??

  • molybdenum disulphide is a high performance mechanical grade powder lubricant that I use on jacketed bullets. It reduces friction and pressure while prolonging barrel life.
