@MultiSnakeman Considering Epitaph Record's original base was a run down mill, and they only started with a handful of bands, the fact that they are the biggest Independent Record label in the world now is quite remarkable. They didn't have lots of money.

Malcolm Mclaren formed the Sex Pistols after a journey to America where he saw the Ramones. 10 years previously, bands like MC5 and The Stooges spawned the Punk music scene, not the Pistols.

@CabLuigi And it's not hard to set up a record label with lots of money and The Sex Pistols are one of the founders of punk and regarded as one of the greatest. John Lydon the songer was controversial and he also turned down his knighthood by the queen and the hall of fame that is true punk.
