I know what he meant because I was a Christian and thought the same way. Now an atheist, I can tell you there are other reasons for being good, other than the Christian fear of punishment or Christian hopes of rewards in a fantasy afterlife.

salvation thru child bearing answer he was talking about Jesus the son of a virgin mary salvation comes from the son of man Jesus christ this is why the truth is hidden from all who do not believe and he is right it makes no sence to none believers the word of God stays hidden to those who dont want to believe it is the hidden knowledge that belongs only to the children of God which is revealed thru the Holy spirit if you dont have the spirit of truth then you cant see truth

you know this debates are very interesting its a smart way to preach the gospel to those who in other situations they wouldnt listen they would turn the talk into an argument but with this debate everyone litens smart christians God always comes through now they dont have an excuse when they are before God the great judge they cant say OH! i didnt hear about you lord so he will say oh no how about your debate werent they telling you about me so you see god has a way to preach the gospel

The effect of debates is that more and more are losing faith in the bible-god because it is becoming apparent there are no good reasons to believe in his existence.

Watching eric hovind try to reason is actually painful. He is just so wrong. Stars are made up of hydrogen which came from the big bang. Nobody says stars come from the elements of other stars.
