I don't believe in god and even I can tell you that the words "fruit" and "tree" of "knowledge" are metaphors. "Adam" & "Eve" became conscience of their nudity through some sexual act that "God" didn't intend for them to do. The bible has been cleaned up, especially the King James version to make it more readable and teachable to the mainstream and especially children. The bible is full of sex and violence and uses colorful terms to soften the text.

@12Ominous True we don't know everything, but we know a billion times as much as they did 2000 years ago. I don't declare anything to be a fact just because I think that it is (I leave that to religion), I declare things to be a fact when there is overwhelming evidence to prove that it is. Yes the lack of evidence of the existence of something is evidence of the lack of existence until proved otherwise (at least in a rational world it is). We only know about galaxies we have observed.

@virgenburgos360 No I'm not a scientist so I can't personally trace my DNA, but if I sent my DNA to a scientist they would be able to trace it & it would be traced back to Africa, just like everybody else on the planet. Facts are facts even if you choose to wilfully ignore them.

@ACCSESS247 Well, first we don't all know anything really. A lot of things we thought were myth have been revealed to be true. Don't declare things to be factual just because you yourself have arrived at that conclusion. Lack of Evidence is not evidence of non-existence. There's about a billion galaxy's which exist which we don't have evidence for.

The History Channel should be called The Fantasy Channel. We all know that the garden of Eden never really existed, we can all trace our ancestors through our DNA back to Africa, Only the wilfully ignorant still deny this. It's 2012 not the Dark Ages & time to forget all the outdated myths of the past. It's time to get a grip on reality.
