Dogs feel. They aren't able to describe their feelings. If animals weren't able to feel, Skinner would not have made history with pigeons.
When he talks about talking as the source of consciousness, surely he's not saying that an animal, like a dog, for instance, doesn't feel. What is his definition of consciousness?
