  • @kath87md This song was written about the sectarian violence between England and Northern Ireland, catholic nationalists and protestant unionists

  • This is about that conflict in Northern Ireland isn't it?

  • @Coruscant98 Yes, but I imagine the lyrics are ambiguous enough that the song could apply to other conflicts and wars as well.

  • Indeed it is! Sklar has played on several of Phil's albums, and a couple of his tours as well. It shouldn't surprise you. Sklar seems to have played with almost EVERYBODY! Check him out on Wikipedia and look at the discography. I was blown away. I've never known any musician who's played with so many other great musicians.
