They purr like a kitten to make their masters happy. All they want is safety and lots of yum yums.

They don't purr from stress, they purr lie cats because they r happy, I know that for a fact because every time i give my guinea pigs food they start popcorning and purring and gobble it all down :) when they chatter their teeth that is a warning sign saying get back or i will bite u also known as a stress signal, :)

They make that "prrrrr" sound when they like something. In this case she likes being petted :)

there are two noises that are very similar sounding, but both mean totally different things. That is the purr sound here and the durr sound which is a sound you hear whenever there is a sudden loud noise the guinea pig is startled. You can tell the piggy likes this the owner scratches the neck. Guinea pigs are amazing with their many character traits. :)
