Noobs want every Resident Evil game to use the RE4 style camera/shooting system because it's easier and less stressful. :P
I prefer classic RE. In the earlier RE games the fixed cameras made the player timid every time he approached a corner, because he could hear a zombie moaning, or a door being pumbled in the distance but couldn't tell if it was right around the bin or at the end of the hall. RE4 & 5 are great games, but they don't have anywhere near the same effect on me as classic RE.

Play the first RE game, which has practically not action, and tell me it's as boring as Pikmin.
The fear keeps you entertained.

Awesome, but in a different sense. Those games are great now because of the fear. They lose that if you give them RE4 controls, but they gain the action aspect.
So, it depends what you want more. I, for one, want fear, because I've played enough pointless shooting games, such as Halo 3, etc..
