This car came in the shop I work in. I guess the guy up front didn't look at the car when writing the work order. Apparently, the customer told the sales guy that he wanted this rotor installed (he had got it from a junkyard.)

After looking at the car and the part he brought in, I'm pretty sure he wanted the whole upright installed, thinking it was going to get rid of the play in the LR wheel (it wouldn't, the problem lies elsewhere.)

Anyway, we didn't do any work on it, parked it, and told the customer he should have it towed to a junkyard. He got in it and drove it home minutes later. I sincerely hope he junks this thing. I don't like to think there are cars like this driving on the same roads I am.

BTW I'm Knifey_McShanker on reddit :-P

  • @miatageekscott are you high i would give this guy 2 bucks to get this crap out of my sight

  • AHHHH! so sad

  • (SMH)......that just makes me want to cry.....and laugh lol!!!

  • wtf was that?????

  • I didn't know they had rear wheel steering too. It should have been more in control instead of rolling off down a mountain and right into a Sears Auto shop.

  • id use that car as a disposable track car.

    but then id die.

  • @allenda77 Mechanics may never refuse to release the vehicle to the owner. They may refuse to allow the vehicle to be driven away, and they may call the MOT/DOT/whatever to report the state of the vehicle. The owner is absolutely allowed to have the vehicle towed (or even push it themselves) off the mechanic's property, at which point they may drive it away unless the mechanic is smart enough to get a cop to give them a bunch of fixit tickets.

  • A junkyard wouldn't even pay much for this pos, it's mostly just scrap at this point.

  • wow looks like some of the cars iv seen in ga . i think the rims are worth more then that car at this point.
