With several guest locomotives residing at the line the Great Central were able to put on an all steam weekend featuring LMS engines, Jubilee class 5690 Leander, Black 5 44767 George Stephenson and newly restored 3F 47406. 47406 at Loughborough, Quorn and Rabbit Bridge; 44767 at Loughborough, Kinchley Lane and Quorn straight; 5690 Leander at Charnwood Water, Woodthorpe, Swithland and Woodthorpe again.

    It is off Swithland Road which runs between Rothley and Quorn; you can see the Lane on Google Maps / Earth. Just follow it around the reservoir until you come to the railway bridge. There is another entry point on Brand Lane which runs between Woodhouse and Swithland. Here it is called Rushey Lane This can be reached by turning left out of Quorn Station and branching left at Old Woodhouse. The lane is on the left ¾ miles after it branches.
