The tradition of having various vocalists sing the title song of the James Bond films began with the 2nd in the series in 1963, "From Russia With Love", and Matt Monro took these honors quite beautifully. Lionel Bart of "Oliver" fame wrote the title lyrics while John Barry composed the music.

  • @jonas220393 Your English I assure you is better than my French, but send me a link to your video and I'll take a look. Thanks for the note.

  • It is sad to lose the late John Barry who brought the magical music of James Bond to millions of fans in his very own unique style. May God bless his soul. Matt Munro sings my best ever James Bond theme song with feeling and soul.

  • the best bond film out of all 23, well soon 23.

from Russia with love was the best bond movie.

  • I believe Lionel Bart did not just write the lyrics to this, he also wrote the music. The opening credit to the movie says "Title Song by Lionel Bart".

  • @dondonp12004 I really think Monro was better than Sinatra, especially his range.

  • @TroyDavidAlexander Well, that is why I called the late Matt Monro 'the Frank Sinatra of the United Kingdom'. Even Frank himself stated "He (Matt Monro) sounded like me on a good day."

  • Musica tema do Filme Moscou contra 007... os ouvidos agradecem...

  • He sounds like alittle bit like Frank Sinatra.

  • That last note was simply amazing.

  • Why wasn't this song played over the opening titles of FRWL? Would have been amazing!

  • 6 people are killed by SPECTRE
