I don't like to write the same song twice. That's probably evident. I use to have a lot of house parties and one afternoon, as I was getting ready for a party in my house, I sat in my room, picked up my acoustic and started writing this upbeat waltz about finding yourself in a moment where you say "Hang on, what am I doing here? How did I get here? ...Oh right". 'Cope with change to produce unexpected outcomes' being one of my favourites quotes I tried to say this in this song. If you read the lyrics closely it also reflects a period in my life where I felt I was in transition. It's very Beatles inspired and it's no secret I love the Beatles. Recording the Oboe with Neil Simpson was one of my most exciting moments of the record. He did two killer solos and I thought...'yes, we will use both'. So I put them left and right simultaneously. The only rule is there are no rules right!?
