Smart Pup

So, we've had Elliot for 1 week and 3 days so far. Been training her for about 1 week. She's a very fast learner and a clever girl. She follows us everywhere and is trustworthy off leash with excellent recall for her age.

Shown: "sit", "shake", "dance", "bow".. she also knows "stand", "stay", "leave it", "wait", "go potty", "come", and we're working on "lay down."

She's been confusing "bow" with "lay down." Hehe.

One thing I keep noticing about her in every vid is those *extremely* bright eyes. There's a lot of intelligence behind them, coupled with an intense desire to be loved. I predict that she'll grow to be a remarkable companion. It's in there, and right now it's all focused on you.

Too true. She has bright blue eyes and they're so attentive, most of the time she is staring right at us no matter what's going on.

Forget the rest of the video, just look at the first few seconds when the dog "looks" and "watches" with his eyes rather than just moving his head around to see what's going on. Those are the first signs of an intelligent dog.

actuly, tricks show that the dog can be taught, and is smarter. just like humans, we must be taught as well.
