EXCERPT: Abby is trying to get the family ready to leave for the airport, starting by getting the Kid dressed. This excerpt explores the way a mother and child physically test the boundaries of control, the way Abby floats back into memories of the past and the way the Kid absorbs abuse as information.
SHOW SYNOPSIS: When the Harris familys plans to go on vacation are unexpectedly put to the test, their relationships explode in a maelstrom of anxiety. Eds split self explores the active tension between living his life defined by things he has no control over versus his personal commitments. Eds wife Abby contends with becoming conscious to a life she doesnt necessarily want anymore, all while their Kid watches on. VACATIONLAND unflinchingly and hilariously exposes the violent language of family life.
