poor action
not fast
keep trying and you will become good

not tryinbg to hate nor anything but your head goes down after the bowl, so keep your head up, strong run up, release, line and length is key

Your bowling is not bad. Just work on aim. Then go for speed. Also avoid jumping high because it looses your rythm. When you bowl hold the ball a little loose and then as you bowl it cut your hand inside. Then you will bowl really fast. Try working on different balls like bouncers and yokers.

I haven't read Ian's book yet (Fast Bowling Bible) so I can't tell you much.
You may want to watch the cloverdale bowling master class part 1 and 2 thats on youtube.
I have a video of myself that might be helpful (see how my arm gets nice and strait, plently of momentum on the run up, both arms not coming up and down at the same time). Have got complements about my action, but I need to build my core strength, legs and shoulder muscles

Interesting. Could you please elaborate? Thanks, mate.

hmm I think there might be a move away from adding pace to accuracy, to adding accuracy to pace. Ian Pont (only modern-ish player to play professional cricket and base ball) seems to think the same things that help you're pace help your accuracy (technique etc)

trying to immitate steve harmison's action will not help you bowl fast. PLUS while you may be bowling with some pace, a lot of those balls where very wide of off-stump. slow down and get more accurate then start thinking about getting fast.

your jump is not helping you gain momentum.
I didn't jump before, and had a short run up because i use to quickly accelerate and throw it.
If you can time your jump and actually use it to your advantage, you can gain a lot of speed and accuracy. ( i know it sounds ironic, but it's true). Try to jump forward as your last stride!
Nice bowling, anyhow!

kpietersen89 - I've seen a lot of cricketers in the past and can tell you one thing. No matter what anybody says, DO NOT CHANGE YOUR ACTION. Everybody has slight alterations in their movements and have their own ways of bowling....

Yea, thanks mate. However, I have a problem jumping off my left foot as I jump off my right. Any tips on fixing that?

try getting some rythem too, you can see your running in fast then stoping pretty much on delivery, that shows youre lacking rythem, take a nice slow start and build up pace in your runup, you can jump from your right foot but make it into a skip, small lil switch over with the right then jump from the left, or just jump from the left, thommo shoaib and malinga are a few who start from their right first
