Alex talks with Jon Ronson, the journalist, author, documentary filmmaker and radio presenter who wrote The Men Who Stare at Goats, a book about the U.S. Army's exploration of New Age concepts and the potential military applications of the paranormal. The book accompanies a three-part TV series broadcast on Channel 4 in Britain, Crazy Rulers of the World, and was adapted to a feature length movie starring George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey.

  • I like when Alex has guests thta may not agree 100% with him but they can still have a civil discussion.

  • It's funny how mainstream lefties like Jon Ronson, Michael Moore, Noam Chomsky et al will go so far but always baulk at addressing 9/11. It's like they have a mental brick wall that stops them even peeking at what might be there. It's extremely frustrating and very disappointing.

  • Jon Ronson is such a lovely guy. I really recommend his last book 'The Psychopath Test'.

I don't read much and I found it to be an easy and informative read. And funny at times too.

  • @hugegiantfrogs theres only so much you can say to a man who spouts piles and piles of steaming misinformation at you in an argument. You can't debate information that isnt true without having done piles of counter research

  • @songdiver

You're brainwashed as well. Why? You didn't include the Plutocratic Corporate Aristocracy who have hijacked our govt for their own gains. This is nothing new, the "monied aristocracy" as T Jefferson called them, have no love or respect for a democracy, their only allegiance is to profit. At least the govt has the POTENTIAL to work on behalf of the people. In a perfect world, the govt would act as a check & balance to the abuses of corporate power.

  • People who are brainwashed thoroughly haven't the slightest clue because the conditioning works so well. It's like when a religious person can't even question their faith due to the fear of hell programmed into them since birth. It works the same with the government and society as a whole...this applies to many of you. You are so indoctrinated that you can't think from an outside perspective or question anything...always "begging the question" by using the institution as your only source.

  • @twosquirrelly In part 3 aj was saying how a carbon tax would usher in a new world order.

    It's 2011. Where's the tax?

There's no carbon tax in the usa, or pretty much any other industrialized nation. If such a government does have a cap and trade or carbon tax, it is incredibly small and insignificant and only affects huge corporations that operate in that country.

The only difference between alex jones and glenn beck is jones still has a show somehow :-D

  • Haha at AJ saying he never hypes any conspiracy theories.

I remember him going on on on about Y2K and how everyone needed to stock up on food and water supplies, etc etc.

And of course he was running commercials for survival supplies while he was spewing this bull shit.

Glenn Beck and Alex Jones = Fear mongering little shits.
