Wow! In my large collection of Records, LPs & 45's , I only had this song on a 45 done by Hank Jr, when he was 14. It was the only version of this pretty and sad song that I always liked. Never knew that Waylon had also recorded it. I like his version just as much as the one done by Hank Jr. Both are very pretty and very sad. Reflects the dispair & sadness of a young Vietnam Vet coming back home.
