I teach guitar lessons and they videotape the lesson. Here I am simplifying a slap and pop technique. ***Sorry for the poor vid quality, it's a student recording on a cell phone. I hope it is helpful to anyone trying to get the basic gist of this style.

Interesting. One of the problems I'm having is slapping notes cleanly when it's strings other than the low E I'm aiming to hit. I don't know if it's the size of my thumb or what (I have regularly sized hands though). Any tips?

After I read your comment, I grabbed my guitar and observed what my fingers were doing when slapping the other strings. I noticed that I align my thumb with the string I am slapping (as opposed to having it perpendicular to the string; as when I'm slapping the low E).
Let me know if this helps =)
