This is a short video I recorded of a Great Bowerbird (Chlamydera nuchalis) near Cairns, Queensland. You can see him inspecting his bower and carefully rearranging some of his "treasures", which consisted of mostly white rocks and snail shells, but also included plastic bottle caps, green glass, some shredded pieces of red plastic (in one pile), and multiple shiny aluminum pull tabs thoughtfully arranged around the entrance and interior of the bower. Sorry about the shakiness of the video, it was from a handheld DSLR with a long lens.
