this is crap. i played it 18 times and couldn't finish. Coz i have normal banshees not elite. be sure to mention that next time so i don't waste my life on trying a strategy that is bogus!!

you don't need any banshee upgrades btw, if you run out of energy just wait - duh!

Yeah so I am a master terran and I've done this mission about 30 times and it really doesn't seem possible without having the right techs and upgrades....

You cannot mine long enough for minerals for ebay/turret/repair, because then a huge army of stalkers will follow your buildings wherever you try to fly them. I can't even get my banshees over the first base, they are all targeted by storms and archons and stalkers, even with the buildings flying with them.

so what if you didn't get the turret bunker? Just restart the whole campaign?

Every single video uses things I never got in time for the mission, like mules, tech reactors, etc. Guess I am just screwed and have to restart everything.

just make an ebay and turret. works even better, but you may need to collect some minerals.

Alternativly, just wait for the fire to burn down all protoss base and kill the portal in the last few seconds.

Puah! Yuo need that fucking tower bunker! You can't build missle towers because the mission start without a lab! And without a turret you can't finish. fail speedrun.

For the people that are struggling to get the Protoss Artifacts on Brutal while fighting of a swarm; if you have the Scanner upgrade for your Command Center, you can use your mules to drop right on top of them without having to fight the Protoss,just let a banshee hover out of range to reveal the immediate area. :)

i did it the only variation that i did is than i brought 4- marines 4 scvs instead of just scvs

LOL this strategy really works! But at first i did 1 extra banshee and medivac after, so while I was getting the spot i lost 1 banshee

bunker autoturret was great idea!

I killed protoss flying shit this way)

So great strategy. (and its enough time to save at least 1 building flying over the map's edge, so when your base has been destroyed you also get achievment - dont lose anything from fire wall)

Throwing the marines in the medivac helped me a lot.

I just got it on brutal. Firstly, I gathered some minerals and made 2 extra banshees with a science vessel and two medivacs. I bought the marine mercenaries and flew to the spot. I lost one medivac and a banshee. Healed my troops, filled the bunked with the mercenaries and killed the thing like he did. Epic startegy!!
