GTHL RELEASES HEAD CONTACT PENALTY STANDARD VIDEO
New Rule Application and Penalty Standard Outlined With Video Examples
TORONTO (September 14, 2011) - The Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) today released a video detailing the new Head Contact rule change that will be utilized during the 2011-12 season.
The video explains the intricacies of the rule and how it will be applied during the season.
This video follows up on a series of seminars that have taken place over the past 3 weeks in which the Head Coach and Trainer of each GTHL team had to attend. These sessions included instruction on positive coaching strategies, the importance of proper diagnosis and treatment of head injuries and a review of the new playing rule.
