what bass is that ??

@jcbass It's a Zon. Kind of my own specs on it.. it's basically a TJ-4 (but if you ordered a DE-4 it would come with those specs and pickup config, etc..)

I call it the "Knopfler". You're keeping your hand very still - if you "chug" in with shoulder/elbow movement at a 45-degree angle you can hit the string against the fretboard more forcefully and get a stronger slap/pop sound, I find. Though you're likely to strip the skin from above your index fingernail!

Yeah! Actually, tho.. my whole point is to make it sound finger style (like I was playing with just the two fingers). I do have a triple roll that I do at a 45 degree angle for a more aggressive sound.

When you are playing the bass line under it are you tapping it? or hitting it ? thx :) ur an amazing player

When I do that roll on the top note and play a bass line under it, I'm holding that high note with my pinky and using hammer-ons for the bass line. Basically just using pure finger strength to tap out the bass line. I'm not tapping with my right hand or anything.
