Mr. Lavy's testimony proves how lame and ineffectual our most vociferous opponents really are. The juxtapostion of his ill-informed statement and the moving testimony of a brilliant and brave trans-woman like Sabrina Taraboletti is truly ironic, as illustrated by the following quote from the late Carl Sagan: "Skeptical scrutiny is the means, in both science and religion, by which deep insights can be winnowed from deep nonsense."
