  • Things have started to settle now, the liquefaction left crater like holes but now we have grass growing through the silt left and the only area that the grass hasn't started to grow through is where the craters were. It still messy and muddy but heaps better.

  • Thers are no water lines in the middle of our backyard, the bubblying water you see are the gyser that were created through liquefaction, there was around ten in different parts of the backyard, you can only see a few in the video, we are no where near the beach and have no sand at all in our soil. What you see on the video is liquefaction in action, its very interesting. We have spent days digging all the silt out. We got our water back on last weekend and all our pipes and lines are fine.

  • this is unbelievable, I always wanted to see this happening after Sept4th when it was so dark and never saw it actually happen. Found one vid on youtube of some 1960 earthquake of very poor quality that was had to view. This is the best example I have seen on youtube and I imagine will be of great interest to many for many years.. Great vid just so sorry for the circumstance.

  • @athopi , lol. watch some of the Japan Liquefaction videos,. I believe them> that's no broken pipe. in Japan houses were going up and down like boats, there are video's that show this exact thing and more dramatic videos also. you should watch a few

  • @kiwibonza Our house was damaged but still live able after this quake, so valuables weren't an issue. My hubby went outside to be greeted to liquefaction in action with much bigger gysers & grey liquid covering all of our lawn. Much worse than you see in this video. He came back inside, got the camera. By the time this video was recorded the liquefaction had been going for at least 2 or 3 min's. This video shows the liquefaction when it was actually starting to subside.

  • @stopbeingnasty not in the east, no. why grab valuables? ever heard of opportunitists?. if you have a car crash, dyou leave all your belongings in it when someone picks you up cuz the car is a write off?

  • @bobsyanana i did actaully. my house is a total write off. As soon as the quake happened, i knew what was inevitable so i started grabbing what i could. Sure as hell not a video camera to film anything

  • @kiwibonza are you on the East? why grab valuables? they are not going anywhere, the cars would be getting stuck, so id move them, but valuables are still there, unless the house is stuffed.

  • @kiwibonza

You'd be more worried about getting valuables? the wording implies you did not experence a situation like above. We all deal with situations differently, and take into consideration we do live in an era where our lives are filmed, photographed and documented via technology. This can be seen as a reminder of how far we have come. Valuables are just possessions that can be replaced. Is it not the memories that hold greater value?

  • personally i dont know why people would take the time to film this kinda thing happening. id be more worried about getting what valuables i have, rather than filming my property getting f#cked

    and yes im in chch

  • U do know that this is an orchestrated Haarp hit on this town, because it symbolises an attack on 'Christ's church..' the other day was symbolic of the Queen attacking Christ.
