@katagym everyone at my gym gets it off of floor express music this girls choreography isn't as dancey and tangoish as mine though. shes a lot more of a power gymnast.

@jimnastix123 Really!? Where did u find it? I'm not a gymnast anymore, but when I was younger I was so in love with her music floor and I've never found it!

absolutely. I hate these dance combos to death. They are supposed to look artistic, but nobody has managed to make it look gorgeous and make it look part of the routine. They are so awkward they kill the artistry.

Even worse is that in the new code, she would have gotten SOME credit for her dance elements and been able to get a decent score. In the 2001-2005 code, it was all or nothing, now B dance elements get credit.
In the new code with her 2002 tumbling she could've done
whip 1/2 double front
double layout
tour 1/2, straddle 1-1/2
full-out
switch leap, switch 1/2
3/1
for a solid 5.9 D score, which is very good now. The dance elements I described would not be valued in the 2001-2005 COP. A shame

well, she could've gone into tumbling or trampoline if she can't dance. obviously talent like this isn't best used in artistic gymnastics due to the high value on dance combos.

That's what kills me about "dance" combos. It's not really dancing - just string together elements to get bonus points. The girl can obviously tumble, and she expresses herself well and can probably dance quite well. The fact that she had to sit out the Olympics because she couldn't string together a series of elements that is supposed to pass for "dance" kind of irks me.
