This is back when karting was proper... 100cc two strokes, air cooled. None of this KF and Rotax rubbish we have now.

@balmedie2k10 Blue plate is junior (JICA) rookie. Its a JICA engine with a 19mm restrictor plate on it, at a later stage they ran a smaller carb. A choked JICA could sound like a TKM I guess haha.
Its not a TKM though, for sure. I saw every one of the karts there first hand. TKM wasn't raced in Ireland. Also remember most TKMs back then were direct drive too, so you'd need to add a clutch to run it in JICA. Even at that, it would get smoked by a JICA engine so there'd be no point.

@balmedie2k10 TKM was never raced in Ireland. I'm curious where you see or hear one. Its probably just a JICA running bad LOL.

Yep the newer Comer Cadet engines are 80cc. The ones that we ran in the 90's were comer S60's
