Lmao, I remember when I had this game..I maxed out all the moves I could on Disc 1, at the Dragon Valley, w/e it's called, and when I reached onto the 2nd disc, every fight was easy, especially Mullen...but he was the most entertaining boss out of all the bosses on Disc 2, God I miss this game. ;[

Raise them both to max stats and you will see wha I mean..

@Lishy1 Overpowering? Pssh, really now. Rapp plays second fiddle to Justin from the moment he joins the party right up to the end. =P

Just a beta Grandia theory, but maybe he was supposed to join the party for the Gaia dungeon? The scenario looks like it was edited at the last moment to have an excuse for him not to come. And he seems to have all the animations a playable character has.
As much as I hate to say it, he would have fit much more than Rapp, who really didn't play a big role (Other than overpowering Justin with neo-demon ball)

Eh... First he's all uber dramatic and then as the fight starts the dude goes "ha-ha haa!".
-
aha! He sounded Sweedish when he said "Rip ya into shreds, Yah!"
its more of a storyline boss as you can also hear in the music which is used

If you run arround and practice a LOT, then he's easy.
If you just follow the storyline, not looking for extratraining but the normal battles, then he is a VERRY strong enemy.
That's the only problem in grandia that i know about; the difficulty is not in a good balance
