I wonder why he doesn't put in his dentures many times when he sings... also, does he have tardive dyskinesia from medications? Poor guy has probably been through nasty side effects trying to get stable.

Honestly, Daniel Johnston sounded perfect to me, but the band he was performing with sounded like BORING ASS SH*T ! . VIVA DANIEL JOHNSTON ! Don't let them drag you down !

Karen O's version is fantastic. its just a different style. I think that Johnston, like Bob Dylan, made songs for everyone to play.

His voice is great for his songs, enough said.
You cant listen to someone elses voice singing this song or any others because its a song that sounds best for him.

actually this is what i think - no matter how karen o sang this because the way daniel sings it - it is the way it should be and thats why there cant be a better version and there is no one.
song is just brilliant, johnston has one of the most beaitiful, touching and sensitive vocals in the world
