ugh no matter where i go i just cant seem to find a method of learning japanese SPECIFICALLY to translate a low-brow anime that i like(nothing too high leveled grammar wise, its Parappa the rapper) mean learning kanji is great and all, but nothing in the show is actually written in japanese anyways besides the episode names which i already know. i just cant seem to figure out the actual dialouge -_- and theres no specific guide to learning japanese for anime translation out there. pretty gay :(

"wa" and "mo" are particles. "wa" usually states the topic of the sentence. mo is basically "and."
In this video, it said "watashi mo" in agreement to the speaker.

It depends on how it is used but for the most part, you are correct.
I think the video just put " I am" because it would make more sense to English speakers than "me too."
