Hah, that's such a classic look she shoots the camera once she realizes it's there...

oh lovely that you did catch her undetected for a few seconds, but birds sure know when you put the camera on them. LOL - and it made me miss my Rainbow Lory to hear yours. I will never stop missing her. love and light - Susan in Tasmania - saving all we can!

I worry about that, too, with mine.

I just keep praying that I will be able to take care of her for the rest of her life...she is probably only 25-35 years old...

I have an african grey who's camera shy too. I bought a flip camcorder hoping he would think it's a phone. Needless to say he's smart enough to know it wasn't a mobile!

He he...we can't fool our feathered friends! Molly is getting less camera shy as you can see in my last 2 videos. I think she was too upset to care about that little contraption in my hand in her angry 'screaming' video!

it's so cool how parrots can stay on one foot and use the other for eatingplaying etc.etc.etc.

Their dexterity is truly amazing! Molly can pick up ONE KERNEL of corn with those big feet! :>)

So wonderful that Molly is in a loving environment now where she can thrive. That lory sure sounds like a car alarm! 8-)

Actually, it's the Brinks Alarm System...LOL...he learned that from his big red 'cousin,' a Chattering Lory (our first parrot), who flew to the Rainbow Bridge way too soon in 2005 at the tender age of 10...
