This weeks Rockin' Race Report takes us to two big shows for the Lucas Oil ASCS Patriots Sprint Car Series, as part of the A-Verdi Storage Containers King of Central New York crown On July 10th and the 12th. Each of these unique tracks on the weekend's docket was rich in tradition but coming from a very different pedigree.

Night number one's action would take place at the Brewerton Speedway. A track that was on borrowed time and in major need of repairs and a fresh start. Full time Trucking entrepreneur and one of America's biggest race junkies, John Wight and his family were the folks who would rejuvenate this track and transform it virtually overnight, into one of the northeasts finest racing facilities and a mecca of motorsports.

The Patriots were more than happy to race in front of Mr. Wights big Friday night crowd, in his palacial speed plant, and put on a show for the ages. With twists, turns and drama on every lap, in the end, night one of the A-Verdi King of CNY double-dip weekend went to Auburn, New York's Bryan Howland. Howland came into the night with a paper thin points leads, knowing his back was against the wall, he went out and ran a smart, clean race, taking advantage of a mishap, and some hard luck by race leader Trevor Lewis, at the end of the A-Main to take the win in dramatic fashion.

Night two, would happen just 48 hours later. This time the tour would make the quick trip to the Cayuga County Fair Speedway. This is headquarters of Dirtcar Northeast, part of the World Racing Group that owns the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars & Late Model Series, and the Super Dirt Car Series. As an invading army, the Lucas Oil ASCS Patriots fit the bill nicely in front of a nice crowd. After a tough start to the night, with eagle eyed flagger Dave Farney bringing the field to a halt, displaying his red flag on three occasions. The Patriots would settle in, and start using every inch of the raceway from top groove to bottom, to demonstrate their unique brand of racing. In the end it would be Upper Black Eddy, PA's Trevor Lewis leading them to the line with a dominating victory...
